Praise the Lord! Jackson was successfully removed from ECMO just moments ago! The cannulaes, which are the tubes in his Carotid artery and Jugular vein that pumped the blood in and out of his body, were successfully removed and the artery and vein were tied off without complication. We are now waiting for them to clean everything up and come get us so that we can be back with Jackson at the bedside.
We praise You Lord for Your hand of protection on Jackson and for being there with him!! We lift up the name of Jesus as Creator and Sustainer of all things. We know that You hold all things together and without You nothing exists. We thank You for one more day, one more hour, one more minute with our son. Thank You for loving him!
We thank everyone for your prayers and for battling through this with us. Please continue to pray for him now that he is off ECMO. Pray that he will breathe cleanly and efficiently on his own now and for the infection that he is still battling.
Your comments and emails have been so encouraging to us both. Thank you!
Joe and Miss
Intro
This blog is dedicated to updates and info on the life of Jackson Nathanael Adam. Jackson was critically ill when born and had to go on ECMO (heart and lung bypass). He made a miraculous recovery, and this is his story! Our intention with this blog was to update friends and family on Jackson's progress and specific prayer requests we had during his extensive stay in the NICU. We will probably move to a family website at some point. :) Thank you for loving him!

The power of Prayer--Matthew 7:7-8
Ask, and you will recieve. Search, and you will find. Knock, and the door will be opened for you. Everyone who asks will recieve. The one who searches will find, and for the one who knocks, the door will be opened.
This blog just lifts me up every time I visit. The power of prayer is just undeniable as we are allowed to follow Jack's continued progress back to good health. Praise to God for hearing and answering our prayers for young Jackson. I will continue to pray for lung expansion and resolution of the infection. Joy

Melissa, Jean sends her best, but she is terrible with the computer and I'm not going spend an hour showing her how to get to the blog, but I've kept her updated and you guys are in her prayers!
