Intro

This blog is dedicated to updates and info on the life of Jackson Nathanael Adam. Jackson was critically ill when born and had to go on ECMO (heart and lung bypass). He made a miraculous recovery, and this is his story! Our intention with this blog was to update friends and family on Jackson's progress and specific prayer requests we had during his extensive stay in the NICU. We will probably move to a family website at some point. :) Thank you for loving him!

Goodnight!

Hey all,

Not much to report since the last post- quiet, good day. We got the results back from the echocardiogram- things looked good. No major problems with the heart and no pulmonary hypertension was found at this point, which was a major praise. Please keep praying! They still haven't isolated the infection or what is causing it, he is currently on two antibiotics. Please pray that they are able to determine what kind of infection it is.

Also, please continue to pray for Jack's old roomie Kinley- she had sort of a rough day today and the family could really use your prayers for healing and stability tonight and tomorrow. She has been taken off of ECMO earlier than they would have liked, but after a rough afternoon she is stable. Please pray for strength for her and encouragement for the Melcher family.

Thanks for your continued prayers and support- we love you all!

Joe and Melissa, Praise the Lord for how well Jack is doing. We'll continue to keep praying. We're headed out of town and civilization for some vacation and won't be able to keep up with the posts. But we'll keep thinking of and praying for you all. Blessins, Shawn
