Quick Saturday Post :)

Hey all,

Just wanted to drop a little note- probably won't have time to post pictures today. Arrived at the hospital this morning, little Jack is doing well. The last couple days were rough withdrawal days for him and his weaning scores were really high (the lower the better typically) as far as throwing up, loose stools, sneezing, tremors, high temps, etc. He was really struggling. Today has seemed a little better, his scores were lower and although he is still a little agitated, he is much better. The nurses said he seems to have his days/nights mixed up and has been awake all night the past couple of nights- they're hoping that will change once the drugs are all off, but it might take him a while to adjust. :) It's just hard because this environment is so weird, and they sometimes have difficulty sleeping at nights. But anyway, his weaning scores are starting to improve, so thanks for your prayers!!

Other than that...other good news- they're taking his oxygen down again to 1/2 a liter and if he tolerates it well, taking the tube out possibly tomorrow...woohoo!! Thank you all for praying for his oxygen levels. We are so grateful! The only tube we would have then would be his feeding tube. It is amazing to think of getting a picture of him without all the tubes/ivs/etc.

Today has been quiet. No real news to report as of now, and I probably won't get pictures out today but will try to get some posted tomorrow night. =) Until then, just know he still continues to be as cute as always. :) Haha. I'm a little biased!!

Love you all! Please keep praying for his vocal cords and his swallowing- our test will be next week and that will determine a lot as well as him heading home. He is getting a bit more of a voice, we love his little cry, and are anxious to hear it more loudly! (I know no one will believe that, but it is true.....his scream will be an indication of God's goodness to us and things working as they should be, a welcome sign as of now!!) :)

Oh, and we are planning on having a little "happy one month" birthday party for Jack tomorrow- this is day 30 and so we have to celebrate! Woohoo!!
